Katia Maccari was born in Montepulciano, province of Siena, in 1976.
Just twenty years of age begins to manage a restaurant together with two of his friends. This is the beginning of an endless passion, the one for the world of cooking, for dishes of the Tuscan tradition since childhood had idealized and he saw go out, almost magically, by the expert hands of the grandmother and the mother before then. In 2003 he joined the family business, Villa Il Patriarca. This is where the passion for cooking becomes a great love.
Katia decides it’s time to join the passion in a training program to broaden her knowledge. So come the ten most intense years, but the most beautiful of her life flowing quickly between the studio, perfecting techniques in the kitchen, the Michelin Star, and above all, the birth of her three sons, Valerio, Matilde and Pietro. From them she learned to understand that a dish is either good or bad: only after this, may be sought all the other nuances :” at the end what should remain is the flavor of raw materials; this is our daily challenge in the kitchen”; this is the philosophy of Katia Maccari. Finally, in 2015 she was appointed Ambassdor WE – Women For Expo – EXPO Milano 2015.
